SMITH, Betty Doreen…..Peacefully at Country Terrace, Komoka, on Saturday, August 6, 2011 with her beloved daughter, Lynne Webb at her side. Cherished wife of Kenneth J. Smith. Loving grandmother to Bryan and Allison Webb and great-grandmother to Asa Fletcher Webb. She will be greatly missed by Donald Webb, Katie Ewald, and Adam Kulakowsky. Survived by her brother Robin Hyslop of Wentworth, NS. Predeceased by her brothers Scotty, Douglas, Donald and Maxwell. Betty graduated from the Stratford School of Nursing in 1947 and so began her love of caring for others. Her nursing career proudly continued until the age of 72. Her passions included her family, travel, writing, gourmet cooking and piano playing. Her family will miss her boundless energy, beautiful smile, insightful letters and her words of wisdom. Special thank you to Margaret Keene “her other daughter”, Dr. R. Martin and the staff at Country Terrace. As per Betty’s wishes, cremation will be followed by a private family service. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario, 741 Baseline Road East, London, ON N6C2R6. A. Millard George Funeral Home, entrusted with arrangements 519-433-5184. Online condolences accepted at www.amgfh.com
