Obituary
SUCHARD, Evelyn May
Mercifully, God’s mysterious veil of peace has descended upon our mother, and released her from a frail and worn body. On Friday, June 17, in her 96th year, Evelyn May Suchard (nee Scarborough), departed this life leaving a strong legacy of faith, love and devotion. In the universal scheme of time, Evie’s long life is merely a flicker … yet is marked by steadfast loyalty to her beloved family, friends, and her life-long service to her church community. Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Dalton; brother Leonard; brother Bob and his wife Marjorie; sister Margaret and her husband Hugh Mathieson; and daughter- in-law Mary. Evie leaves behind her devoted and loving son Gary; son Carl and wife Nancy; daughter Connie and husband Gene Murphy; her dear cousin and loyal friend Elsie Cole; and the joy of her life – grandchildren Kelly Richards, Graham Suchard and Julie Ridgewell, Kimberley and husband Fred Dennis; six wonderful great grandchildren, Alex, Nick, Daniel, Kyle, MacKenzie and Cameron; and many cousins, nieces and nephews and their families. Friends will be received by the family on Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 10:00 am with Reverend Martin Leveque of the Church of St. Andrew Memorial officiating. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Hearing Society, 181 Wellington Street, London, ON N6B 2K9 or the charity of choice would be appreciated. Online condolences at www.amgfh.com

Kelly, so sorry to read of your Grandmother’s passing. god Bless and take care.
I grew up in St. Andrew parish and remember most Mrs. Suchard as a warm and caring person with a ready smile. She and Mr. Suchard were great friends to my parents, Cam and Mary Miller, and they had enjoyable times together.
Though age and frailty had separated them from the more frequent contact of their parish years, Mum and Dad have spoken fondly of
“Evie” over the years.
We offer our prayers for all of Evie’s family members at this time loss and change.
With Sympathy,
Kathryn
My sympathies to all the Suchard family. I have such fond memories of my time Grandma ( as I called her). We shared many family times together, grocery shopping trips and even a couple of Friday night fish dinners at the little diner on Wellington Road. I will always treasure my first Christmas gift…a lovely tea cup and saucer..lots of pink roses, which is proudly displayed in my china cabinet. Although I haven’t seen her since MacKenzie was little, GG as the kids called her will forever be in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the Suchard family. Our Mother Helen Banfield was a dear friend of Evies for many years.
