To the Hinton Family, Although you don’t know me – I grew up visiting Ernie and Audrey with my parents
(Margaret & Morley Smith). I have been thinking about them alot over the last couple of years and re-living memories of spending many evenings there (on Griffith St.)and falling asleep under the table, while the adults all played cards.
I especially remember Audrey decorating for Christmas and how beautifully she decorated. As a child, I was always in awe.
I will cherish those memories forever.
My condolences to everyone.

I worked with Audrey from 1983 until she retired from Customs and Excise. Although our paths only crossed occasionally over the years since, Audrey is easily brought to mind with pleasant memories of her at Excise.
With sympathy,
Anne Marie

Audrey and Ernie were great friends to my grandparents and the whole family, and were always there to help out when we needed them. Audrey will be greatly missed by all of us Bloxams, and the dogs whom she dearly loved.

Audrey and I recently had a celebration lunch acknowledging 21 years of her receiving massage therapy. I treasured her patronage and we always talked like we were high schools buds!
I’ll think of her every time I have a butter tart and the way she laughed that I ate her half-frozen muffins –
“why wait” I said, “I don’t want the chef to be offended”!
Love ya Audrey, you’re in a beter place now!

Audrey and Ernie were like family to us. Attending many gatherings in my parents home, holidays, birthdays ect. When we were children, unlike most adults, Audrey (and Ernie) would always sit and chat with us to see how “life was treating us”. Genuinely interested in our thoughts and opinions, this was invaluable in forming our self value. Audrey was someone you could easily talk to and bounce idea’s off of, knowing you would always get an honest and unbiased opinion! She was strong, loving, kind and compationate. Audrey you will be greatly missed, and always hold a very special place in our hearts…
My condolences to the family for
your great loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Audrey and I shared many Saturday mornings together with Jodey. She was a wonderful storyteller! My favourite was how she wound us up with the tale of getting her nails done so that she was ready to meet Obama at his inauguration. She had us in a great belly laugh once we realized her joke!
I will always remember her sweet smile and demeanor, her love of clean, “dirty” jokes and our special time together. Audrey there will always be a secret Christmas present under my tree for you! I hope you and Ernie dance like you have never been apart.
There is peace in knowing you are comforted in the arms of your one and only.
