I met Olga back in 1991 or so one Saturday afternoon when the City of London Heritage Plaque was unveiled on her and Russell’s home in old north London.
She was kind enough to give us a brief tour of her home.
From that brief meeting 20 years ago or so, it was easy to see that Olga was an extremely engaging and interesting person.
Sincere condolences to the family.
I am very sorry to say that we will not be able to come on Sunday to express our condolences to you. However, we would like you to know how much we will miss our good friend and neighbour, Olga.
Olga’s engaging ways and genuine interest in others and in the world around her were admirable. She was always interested in how our children were and what they were doing and I will fondly remember our Friday afternoon trips together to ‘Remark’.
Our most sincere condolences.
Deepest sympathies, our thoughts are with you and your family.
Olga was an amazing woman, we are honoured to have known her.
Greg, Irene and Warren–our deepest sympathies on the passing of your mother. She will be remembered by all. We are glad we were able to see her at the family reunion.
Sending our sympathy to all the Aziz family.
We have so many happy and fun
memories of your dear Mother.
She was a special friend and
neighbor.
May her memory be eternal.
Our thoughts are with you.
Sincerely yours,
Ann and Alex Jefferies
I have many fond memories of Aunt Olga and Uncle Russ dating back as far as I can remember.Talking with Aunt Olga last September at the Aziz Reunion also brought back the memories of the good times we shared.
My sympathy goes out to Warren , Greg/Irene and their children Natalie & Karina.
Kathy and I will be out of the country and will not be able to attend on Sun. May 15
Take care and hope we see each other again this year.
Warren, it has been 20 years since our paths crossed both in London and Florida, but having noted the passing of your mother in the paper this week i wanted to express my sincerest sympathies to you and your family at this difficult time.
I first met Olga at my friend Lorraine Leader’s wedding in E. Lansing Michigan. We danced and drank champagne and had a half a million laughs at that event. I recited some arabic swear words that my friends had taught me and she helped me with my pronunciation. What a hoot she was! She invited me to come and visit her in London, on my way back home, via Toronto (where I would visit cousins). I will never forget knocking on her beautiful Victorian home door and having a 5′ 6″ tall Great Dane named Romel answer the door. She greeted me with a smile and a warm hug, invited me into the kitchen for a cup of tea and we sat and talked into the evening, made dinner and chatted and laughed every second. She was such a wonderful human being and I absolutely had fallen in love with her in only those 2 meetings. May she rest in peace. What a beautiful soul!
