On behalf of the McKerlie family, i would like to express my sincere sympathy to Mary’s family and friends and to acknowledge what a wonderful, positive example she was to all who came in contact with her.
We have marvelous memories of both Mary and Stew over the years and were very fortunate to have been influenced by their example.
John McKerlie,
Victoria, B.C.
Dear Melissa, Miggs and family members. What a privilege it has been to have known and been loved by Mary! Always compassionate, caring and giving, never giving a second thought to going the extra mile for a family member or friend, indeed even to strangers. Mary has cared, taught, guided and led us all at some time in our lives and most of all she loved “unconditionally”. Mary loved her Lord and her faith never waivered throughout the many trials she experienced.Mary has made us all better people, by being in our lives. I will miss her terribly, but her example will be with me forever. Love Ronalee
We have fond, fond memories of the many times we shared. Thinking of you and your family at this sad time.
To all of Mary’s family and friends I extend my deepest sympathy.
Mary offered us a wonderful example of how to live a life of grace, sharing, caring and loving unconditionally.
She was a dear friend to my father, Norel Loney and her love never wavered even in the face of adversity.
Mary will be sadly missed by all who had the oportunity to know her.
Melissa, what can we say about your Mom? She was a wonderful, caring and generous person, always concerned about others. She had a strong faith in God, and demonstrated it through her daily actions and interactions with people. She will always hold a special place in our hearts and it has been a privilege to know her and call her our friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Miggs, and the rest of your family.
Hugs from Gail and Grant
We have many, many fond memories of Mary and Stew. We felt so privileged to know them and share in their many interests and love over the years. They set a wonderful example of Christian love and caring and memories of them will always remain with us. Our sincere sympathy goes to all the family.
Unfortuantely we will be unable to be with you on Monday as we will be out of the country, but our thoughts will be with you all.
Darling Mary was an example of a woman of God, exemplifying with her life, the love of our Lord Jesus. I met Mary and Stew in 1976 when I was working on CFPL TV with Jack Burghardt. Jack introduced us and our friendship began. There are so many stories….so many memories. Mary was 30 years older than I, but she could outlast me. And I used to be called the every ready bunny! She always listened, always encouraged and always lived life fully. I am forever blessed to be called her friend. I know our Lord will welcome her with these words, “well done, good and faithful servant.” I love you Mary.
I was saddened to hear that Mary had died. Mary was a wonderfully faithfull parishioner who supported me in my intership at Wesley-Knox back in 2003. She also invited me into her home and introduced me to her family which was a priviledge. I was and still am so thankful for her presence. All of Mary’s family will be in my prayers over the next few days.
Yours in Christ Jim
I will never forget that finger waving back and forth because I had forgotten to shave…but I still got my kiss.
I will miss the calls that I would make from Ohio for advice on something…
