Although there is true sadness hearing that my Uncle Gord passed, there is also some joy knowing that he is now with his Mom, whom he loved and treasured with all his heart. Our condolences to Mrs. D. Fleming-Needham and Family.
I am saddened to read of Gord’s passing. I was brought up on Soudan Ave and seeing Gord on his corner was a daily thing. In all kinds of weather he was always there selling the various papers and magazines. In my youth I worked for him briefly peddling a few papers and later in life, as a Toronto Star rep, I dealt with his account from time to time. Despite his many challenges he was always a friendly and hard working individual. He was dedicated to his trade. It was a sad day when he finally left “his” corner and the neighbourhood. My condolences to the family.
Dear Dorothy, we are so sorry to hear of Gordon’s passing. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We are certain that Gordon is resting comfortably in the arms of the Lord.
In 1956 I was transfered to Toronto by the Toronto -Dominion Bank and I worked at Yonge & Eglinton. I remember Gordon selling the newspapers in all kinds of wheather. He was a customer of the branch and over 50 years ago, I can still remember him.
Our prayers go out to you on the loss of a love one.

Dear Dorothy and Family, Although we didn’t know Gordon well, our brief times with him were memorable and delightful. His friendly way was special indeed. We know you will miss him; but knowing he is at peace hopefully gives you peace as well. Love to you and your family. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Doug and Barb
