Obituary
Bruce B. Johnson,
1946 – 2010…..
Bruce Johnson passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2010. Proud father of Daren, Craig, Ben, and Tim. Loving partner to Lori French. Dear brother of Gordon, Brenda, and Moe. Son of the late Tom and Joyce. Unparalleled supporter of downtown London and the arts community. Passionate artist, writer, poet, music lover, card player, and baseball fan. An old soul with a childlike innocence. Loved for his contradictions; he was the most goofy serious man. Visitations will be held at A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, on Sunday November 21, 2010 between 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Please join us in celebrating Bruce’s life at The Arts Project, 203 Dundas Street, London, beginning at 7pm on Sunday November 28, 2010. In lieu of flowers, we request that you support Bruce’s passion with a donation to The Arts Project. Online condolences accepted at www.amgfh.com

Our thoughts are with you boys Daren, Craig, Ben, and Tim and with Lori at this time. Also thinking of you, Brenda, Gordon and Maurice and your families. While difficult, you will reflect on and cherish all of the life time allowed to be shared with Bruce. We never seemed to get to see lots of each other, but when we were able, Bruce had that way of not just making you feel welcome, not just family but that you truly belong. Our prayers are with you
Cousin Doug and Family
Dear Family,
My prayers are with you.

The earth has lost a great man but heaven has gained a beautiful spirit. I had the pleasure of working with and for Bruce for many years at GM Diesel Division. He was a great leader and a true confidant. My heart-felt condolenses go out to his family and all those who will mourn his passing. He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all the lives he touched with his charming wit and beautiful soul. I don’t doubt that, in his 64 years here on this plane that he experienced more life than a dozen men would experience in a lifetime. He leaves a wonderful legacy.
Lori and family,
Our heartfelt sympathies are with you at this emotional time, as are our thoughts and prayers, Heather & Mark Haug

Daren,Craig, and family.I met Bruce about ten years ago at a family function. After jamming a few tunes on my guitar Bruce decided I needed to meet a few of his friends in the bussiness. We had a great time. We spent a few weeks getting to know eachother and he left me with a word “CARPEDIEM” means live today. From the short time I spent with Bruce Ive never forgot that and I know he lived by it.Today is a time to celibrate he will be missed but no forgotten
I hope to see you soon

To cousin Bruces’ family.
Please accept my sincere sympathy at the passing of your partner and father. I have only faint memories of Bruce visiting us here in Alberta but it is always sad when part of a family is gone, and much too young at that. Sincerely, Gayna (Coleman) Welsh. I am Brian and Sonia Colemans’ second eldest child.
I was so sorry to read of Bruce’s sudden passing. Although we have only seen each other a few times since high school, I still have fond memories of our Biscay Rd. days and especially our football exploits. I offer my deepest sympathy to Bruce’s entire family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Memories live on.
Sincerely,
Alistair
Pat and I had the pleasure of working with Bruce in his career at GM Diesel Division. He was always upbeat, energetic and willing to step in when called upon. We were saddened to hear of his passing, but both know he has left a great legacy. Our condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed by all those he touched.
Our condolences and prayers go out to the entire Johnson family. I lost contact with Bruce following high school but from time to time over the years I would hear from friends about Bruce’s involvement in the community and his love for the arts. I remember his kindness and his great sense of humour. He made me a better person for knowing him so many years ago in school. My thoughts go out to you Brenda, Bruce & Moe and of course to the entire Johnson family.
You are a great friend, a great mentor, and a great person. Hope you’re in a better place.
Moe and Janice and family, I want to express my deep sympathies, and that my thoughts are with you. Lissa
Our sincere condolences to the whole Johnson family. As Steve Martin said,”He was a wild and crazy guy”, full of life and strong in spirit. He will be missed.
As a high school classmate and friend of Bruce in the 60’s I was deply saddened by the news of his death. Please extend my sincere condolences to Gordon, Morris and Brenda and other members of Bruce’s family.
