At Parkwood Hospital, London, on Sunday, October 31, 2010. Jean MacFarlane Phillips of London in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late Nelson Phillips and the late Gordon MacFarlane. Dear mother of Joe MacFarlane and his wife Sharon of London, Peter MacFarlane and his wife Kim of St. Thomas, Bernie MacFarlane and his wife Mary of London, Marjorie MacFarlane and Jeanie Labelle and her husband Ray of Grand Bend. Dear sister of Diane MacLeod of Nova Scotia. Also loved by her 8 grandchildren. Friends will be received by the family from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2nd at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Wednesday November 3rd at 1:00 pm. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to London Regional Cancer Program, 747 Baseline Road East, London, ON N6C 2R6. Hello, we do not know each other but I am writing to you in regards of the loss of your dear family member, Jean Phillips. I would like to send my deepest sympathy. It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love and it can be most difficult to bear.
The Bible, however, holds out a wonderful hope. The Scriptures indicate that it is possible to be reunited with your dead loved one in the near future right here on earth – Psalms 37:11.
