We remember Steve as a much loved brother-in-law and uncle who especially loved the Christmas holidays; the lights, the festival and the family times. We miss you Steve and our thoughts and prayers are for you and with Joannie, Brent and Stefanie.
With love,
Trevor, Marianne, Rachel and Eric.
Our prayers and thoughts are with your whole family.
We are thinking of you and remembering Steve fondly. We love you aunt Joannie, Brent and Stefanie.
It is with our warmest thoughts that we will remember you in our prayers. Our sincerest condolences to your family.
We were very sad to hear of Steve’s passing. Steve recently laid our wood floor. He did so under much discomfort and we certainly appreciated his finishing our living room during that time. We didn’t know Steve prior to his doing this flooring for us, but he demonstrated his strong work ethic and strength (as long as the radio was loud enough ;). Sincerest sympathy.
We are sorry to hear of the loss of Stefan.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult times.
With caring thoughts,
Stephen Auger & Family
I am not sure who was the greater challenges for quick combacks, Steve or Lawrence. It made for an interesting listen!
Who will keep Lawrence on his toes!! You will be missed Steve.
Jean and Lawrence
My Condolences to you and your children Joannie. I remember Steve’s quick sarcastic remarks, and I’m sure they will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I will always remember Steve for his witty sense of humour. He always came across as a complainer, but once you removed the outside layer you found a very compasionate person. I remember the day he was diagnosed here in the office , and he was all alone. I went back to see him and we had a cry together. My thoughts and prayers go out to you Joanne, Brent and Stephanie. I know he loved you guys alot.
Please for give my prose and spelling.
I am very sad to hear about,Steve!!
I have thought hundreds of times of Steve over the years.
I can see Steve and Irene the day they moved to York St. from Salisbury just like it was 5 minutes ago!!
We use to get in some trouble, thank the Lord not caught every time!!
Road hockey, and bumper jump the bus with Stan and Brian & Ron Smith.
Its a wonder we didn” die back in those days.
I remember seeing Steve in the back of a police car crying
one day after they got caught shooting beebess at traffic,my lucky day
I was not with them.
We were only 12 or 13 when we did these silly things and
thought it was the end of the world when we got caught.
Never seen Steve after St Patricks,he must of went
to CCH and me to Beal.
I was shocked to hear John passed also.
Steve and the Wira’s enriched my life!!
We will all meet up one day!!
My sympathy and prayers,to all.
Dan Murphy.
My heartfelt sympathy is extended to the entire Wira family.
Steve will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered, always.
The movie Grease and Miniature Golf will never be quite the same.
Thanks for the memories my friend.
God bless you.
I first met Steve in 2002 while working at the beginning of the Sifton Riverbend Golf Course Community. He was a true craftsman in his own right.I believe he literally fitted all the Hardwood floors in that entire subdivion plus a lot more.It was always a pleasure to work with Steve and it was a lot of fun with his wit, sarcasm and jokes. He will be missed. My condolences to his entire family.
My Deepest Sympathy is extended to Steve’s wife and children. I met Steve in the early 70’s and have a lot of fond memories. Whenever I hear “Blue Spanish Eyes” I always think of Steve…and always will continue to do so. Rest in Peace Steve and God Bless.
My heart dropped when I heard of the passing of Stevie. I first met him about 8 years ago at Sifton’s Riverbend. He of course did the hardwood and me, the tile. At first I thought he was this grumpy guy who had the absolute worst taste in music. Once I got to know him that all changed. He was a devoted family man with a big heart and a somewhat crude sense of humour. He was always interested in what was going on in my life and was one of the people I most looked forward to working with. I considered him a friend and will miss him dearly. Sinatra and Christmas music will never sound the same. My deepest condolences to his family. I know he loved you a lot.
So very sorry to hear about Stefan’s passing Joannie, keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.
