BLACK, Donald Alfred
At St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Monday May 31, 2010 Donald Alfred Black of London in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Betty (Kirk) Black for over 65 years. Survived by sister-in-law Margaret (Kirk) Hardy. Proud uncle of 10 nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by parents Ruby and Alfred Black and sister Grace Parsons (Al), sister-in-law Helen (Kirk) Thompson (Lysle) and brother-in-law James Hardy. Don was a successful dairy farmer in the Belmont area for many years. He was a member of St . Andrew’s Westminster United Church, Belmont Masonic Lodge No. 190 A.F & A.M. and the Scottish Rite. Friends will be received by the family on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 from 7-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Jessica McCrae officiating. Interment in Dorchester Union Cemetery, Dorchester. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the St. Andrew’s Westminster United Church General Fund, 2008 Glanworth Drive, London, ON N6N 1H4 would be appreciated. Online condolences at www.amgfh.com

I’m not able to attend the funeral as I’ll be at the Cancer Clinic.Since my immune system is still compromised I’m trying to avoid too many crowds.My prayers for comfort for you will continue.
