I had the awesome opportunity to have known Bob and to have spent some time with him. My heartfelt prayers go out to his family. Bob touched many lives and was a true example of servanthood to all he met. You will be missed.
Dear Charlotte, Sarah, Tim, Daniel and David,
One day, during a coffee break with Bob and Kenny Green, Kenny said he had been trying to come up with a word that described our dear brother Bob. And he found that word . . . “Grace”.
We were all recipients of that wonderful grace that literally exuded from Bob, as he faithfully demonstrated the caring and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will always be fondly remembered and very much missed until that glorious day when we will be together again in the very presence of our loving Savior.
Our love and prayers are with you through this very difficult time.
In Christ, Glen & Wanda
We were deeply saddened to hear about Bob’s death. Our hearts go out to you in your time of sorrow. As an FCF minister we met Bob at conferences here in Moncton NB and knew him as a man who loved his Lord. It was always a pleasure to talk to him and to hear him speak. Be assured that we will continue to pray for you and your family.

Dear Charlotte and Family, our hearts and prayers are with you as you lean on The Lord and friends during this difficult time. God’s grace is sufficient and we will all see Bob again – He is now rejoicing in that glorified body and we will miss him.
I was once told that “You will never know the value of a moment until it is measured on the scale of time.” Bob, you added value to all whom you touched. You added value to me. Value that only time can measure. You are truly a “Chariot of Light Forever, Forever a Chariot of Light.” Your not gone from us, your in our future. At the end of the day we will meet again!
Charlotte and family: So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. You are all in our
thoughts and prayers at this
time. Bev and Donna
Hi Olmsted family,
On behalf of my family and I, I would like to say sorry for your gigantic loss. At the moment, your hearts are breaking, but just remember that Jesus knows best and that He will be with you in this storm as He has done many times before. We will be sure to keep you all in our prayers.
Dear Charlotte and family,
My deepest condolences go out to you at this difficult time. Bob’s positive attitude and outlook on life will always be remembered and greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
God Bless,
Chrisoula
What a privilege it is to know Bob on a personal level as a fellow evangelist in reaching the lost through Chariots of Light. I have never met a more gentle spirited man with more passion for a lost world. We will miss having that gentleness around us, whether physically or in spirit. God has truly gained a precious son to share in a glorious eternity. We are not quite as complete here without you, brother!
My deepest sympathy to the family of Bob. He was a wonderful man of God and a wonderful friend and leader. When I went to Newfoundland to accompany Bob in the opening of a new COL chapter, I received an anointing from Bob. Two things happened from Bob’s gift. I felt a strong bolt of fire in my head as he prayed for wisdom and my safety. The second thing was on my way home, near Cornerbook when a moose came out of the fog and the hand of God reached out and stopped it. Thank you Bob.
I HAVE MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT FOR BOB. WE WILL MISS HIM VERY MUCH.MY PRAYERS WILL BE WITH THE FAMILY. HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND.
We are very sorry to hear about Bobs passing. Even though he is rejoicing in heaven it is still very hard for the family left behind. May the love and comfort of God and your family surround you at this time. Stand firm on Gods word and promises. Bob enjoyed life and was an encourager and blessing to many. We will be praying for your family during this difficult time.
Love the Frenchs
Charlotte and family:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May you feel the comfort and strength of our Lord during these times, knowing that Bob is right now with his Saviour.
Although we are the ones suffering a huge loss Bob was an incredible brother. He was always there for me during childhood and continued to stand by his little sister during adulthood. He was a total inspiration to everyone he met and his zest and love for God and life was ongoing right up until he took his last breath. He truly adored his wife and four amazing children. It was an honour to be blessed with such an amazing brother, brother -in-law and Uncle. God’s strength will carry us until we meet again. Bob would want all of us to remain positive and to continue on where he left off. What a legacy he left us.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss of a truly wonderful and genuine husband, father and human being. Bob worked for me as an original member of the 52 Division Bicycle Squad. He always had a smile on his face and was truly a joy to be around. He was a wonderful, hard working, caring and professional police officer. All the attributes that he had in his private life he brought to his career. He will be missed by all who know him. God Bless his family in the hour of their loss. I know that Bob will be in your hearts and minds forever and he is watching over you from Heaven.
Graduation day came early . May the Prince of Peace show up and prove Himself strong at this time in your lives. Be blessed at this time in your lives. Gene & JoLynn Emerson Restoration Ministries Rock Springs, WY

Impact Church has been richly blessed by your family’s presence Charlotte. Bob was a joy to be around and defined what it means to be a family man. Your family is amazing, and we all love you so very much.
I’d like to offer my Condolences to Bob’s family. I first met Bob when we worked together as Cadets at Toronto Police HQ’s. Due to our mutual interest in football we became friends and attended several Argo games together. We also went through Police College together, where we played on all the sports teams and car pooled that summer between Toronto and Aylmer. After college we went our separate ways in our careers, but we kept running into each other every few years and reminisced about our younger days. I always enjoyed talking to Bob and I know that he will be greatly missed.
Dear Charlotte & Children,
We were sorry & sad to read about your husband and fathers death. We wish to express our sincere sympathy and wish you God’s peace and blessing during this difficult time.
John & Hilda Tamming, Strathroy
Bob was always an amazing person with a lot of laughter and humour. We remember on a Wednesday a friend was blasting music from his car and Bob started to dancing, that was the most remembering thing that we’ll remember same with others. Also, on a Thursday night at a community meal his son Tim was talking about getting speakers for his vehicle and Bob said,” I can be your speaker/bass” and he started beep boxing.
Even though his not here on Earth he’ll always be around for us and his family to talk to, he’ll never be forgotten.
Were dearly sorry for the lost and were praying for you guys every single day.
We will miss you,, But we will see you again sometime as life goes on,, We will be Lifting your family up in our prayers… God Bless The Olmsted family,,,

We are deeply saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. I was a close friend of Bob’s throughout our high school years and beyond. I have many fond memories of Bob especially of our trips to the Carribean and Hawaii. He helped me through some tough times by always having a smile on his face and a positive attitude. I know he was a dedicated police officer for many years and served his profession well. I wish we had kept in touch more over the years but will always carry great memories of a great man. We send our condolences to his wife Charlotte and their children. God bless you in these trying times. Love Craig and Agnes
Charlotte, I was shocked when I learned of Bob’s homegoing while reading a facebook entry from a mutual friend. Especially through the busyness and activity of these days, may you find simple rest in Jesus who promised eternal peace and rest – both here on earth, and as Bob has already discovered, with Him in Heaven.
Charlott: are prayers are with you and the children, Bob always made you feel as if you knew him for a long time, always an up lifting word. He fought the Good fight and has recieved his reward, we will meet again, God is a Master at healing broken hearts!!
Dear Charlotte and Family,
We had the honor of meeting Bob a couple times and our lives were greatly enriched and blessed by Bob. The legacy of faith and kindness that Bob left behind will serve as an example to us all. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Dear Charlotte,
Heard from mom and dad about your husbands passing. Although we haven’t talked in many years mom phoned to tell me about your husband. Although I never met him I wish you God’s blessing during this difficult time. May you and your children experience much peace during the weeks to come.

As part of the JSMI President’s Cabinet we feel as if we have lost a family member. Our prayers are with the family. We know God will give you peace and comfort in this time.
God’s richest blessings on you
Dear Charlotte and family
I recall the dreams that you shared as you were preparing to move to Melbourne, trying to sell your home here, sending the kids to Strathroy Christian School, trying to figure out what high school to send the older two to, seeing Bob transition to God’s leading by serving Him in London. I recall Bob and Sarah coming back to Orangeville one evening to listen to the band playing at Maples Independent school, they were sitting a few row in front of us. David was such a blessing sharing class with our daughter Elizabeth.
Now some of these dreams are “shattered” “altered” and the mistery and voids of this holds us breathless. You and your family are in my prayers as you wrestling with this loss. I’m sorry. May God grant you all His strength. (Psalm 23)
Love in Christ, Jacob Wielinga

Dearest Charlotte
I don’t know if you remember me, but started my career with Bob 26 years ago with the Toronto Police. I was so saddened to hear of his passing. I have such fond memories of Bob. He was a true gentleman and a great colleague to work with. We had wonderful conversations. Unfortunately we moved on to different units.
God Bless you and your family
To Charlotte and the entire family of Bob – It was and is a wonderful pleasure to have spent time in the presence of someone who loved and served Our Lord and King with all of his heart. Although he is temporarily absent from us, oh what a glorious and happy reunion we will have. Charlotte we love you and look forward to seeing you in the days to come. Lovingly submitted…Tommy & Lynette
Dear Charlotte,
Our sympathies, thoughts, and prayers go out to you and your family in this time of sorrow. Our hearts were saddened to hear about Bob’s passing.
A few simple words from us will never be able to comfort you at this time.
When the funeral has ended and everyone else has returned back home.
Your life will never be the same !
When the lights are off and you are left alone with your pain .When your mind is assaulted with questions of how and why, and your heart is filled with grief!
Then may you remember. There is a God in heaven who specializes in becoming strength for the weak, he becomes a father to the fatherless, a husband to the husband less. He also knows how to comfort those who mourn.
Take comfort in knowing Your ARE NOT ALONE !!
Charlotte may God give you and your children strength at this time and in the future.
Martin & Jacqueline Jones
